OUR CLASSES

We are passionate about teaching. In our classes we usually like to work around some concept or key idea, which we exemplify with some specific movements, sequences or routines, always leaving some room for exploration, improvisation and creativity.

We are open and very happy to hear proposals from organizers and students, but here are some ideas for classes:

• Vintage clips inspired routines. Historical appreciation class, working on different moves and stylings seen in some classic films.
• It’s the way that you do it. Through different techniques and creativity/expressivity/personality games, we encourage dancers to pursue one of the most important goals in jazz dance: individuality.
• Fast Lindy. We share a series of techniques and exercises to enjoy the wonderful world of fast dancing.
• Power moves in Lindy hop/Solo Jazz. Both in improvisation and choreography, we will work on one of the most powerful concepts to develop your dance.
• Syncopation. What does this mysterious word mean, that everyone talks about?
• Lindy Charleston. We work on nice movements, transitions and variations really doable in social dancing.
• Footwork and accentuation. Within this micro-musicality focused class, we present a easy and super simple system to create a ton of footwork variations.
• Solo Charleston: improvisation, style and musicality. Multi-level class, exploring different aspects and possibilities of Charleston language.
• Slow Swing Dance. Dancing to slow music can be just as exciting (and challenging!) as dancing fast.

CONTRACT

Basic contract requirements

For a traveling weekend, we request a minimum of €2080 EUR, that can be met through 8 hours of group classes, or through some group classes plus other activities such as teacher training, auditioning, private lessons pre-scheduled by the organization, etc.

Additionally, we need the event to cover all travel expenses, accommodation and all daily meals.

Cachet

Group classes

• € 260 / 1 hr / both teachers (partnered classes)
• € 160 / 1 hr / one teacher (solo classes)

Private lessons

• € 75 / 1 hr / one teacher
• € 120 / 1 hr / both teachers

Other details

 

Additional, non-teaching activities

• We love to perfomr and do teacher demos (whether it’s social dancing or crazy fast aerial Lindy hop!) as well as judging competitions and playing some music. Once our minimum requirement is guaranteed, additional activities such performing, judging small competitions and DJing are free of charge. Otherwise, these items should be discussed.

Travel

• All travel costs (including transportation to and from the airport) must be fully covered by the event. Tickets should include 2 checked checked bags and 2 carry-on bags. If the flight has stops, food expenses must be covered for each stop.

Accommodation

• Accommodation should be provided throughout our stay; a private room with a shared bed is perfect for us. Being located within walking distance to the classes and parties is greatly appreciated. Working WiFi is a requirement.

Food

• Breakfasts, lunches and dinners should be provided during the run of the event. Rami is omnivore, Sofi has a pescatarian diet. In general we prefer healthy food (lots of vegetables, greens, fruits, fish…), but we also love to try local food.

Ethical concerns

• We cannot work in an event with teachers accused of sexual abuse.
